Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice (LEAF) is pleased to announce the first ever LEAF Awards, to be presented at the 2018 Restaurants Canada Show in Toronto. 

This is a great opportunity to get recognition for your commitment to the environment, the progress you’ve made, and the hard work you’ve put into making your business as sustainable as possible. Winners will be announced at the Restaurants Canada Show in Toronto, February 25-27th, promoted through social media, and receive a beautiful award to display. 

The four awards to be presented are:

Greenest restaurant
Greenest facility over 10, 000 square feet (must be at least a level 2 certified facility)
Most improved
Eco-Innovator of the year**


Any LEAF certified members in good standing can enter for one or more of the award categories. The only category which is open to non-LEAF certified restaurants is the Eco-Innovator of the year, presented in collaboration with Restaurants Canada.

The winning restaurant will be chosen by the LEAF Board and based on a combination of factors, including: current LEAF score and most recent audit results, areas of greatest impact, and improvements and innovations.

Winners will be notified in advance on December 16th, 2017 and will be announced publicly at the 2018 Restaurants Canada Show. Presence at the show is not required to win.

Deadline for submissions is 11:59pm PST on Thursday, November 30th, 2017.
