Bringing sustainability to the table is about more than just the restaurants that are LEAF Certified. Suppliers also play a critical role when it comes to being green.

The LEAF Approved Supplier Program connects operators with restaurants who have demonstrated a commitment to the environment. LEAF Approved Suppliers offer products and services that are eligible for points within the LEAF criteria. They have also achieved the right to use the LEAF seal on products to help consumers identify green products.

LEAF Approved Suppliers must also demonstrate the following criteria: 

  • Demonstrate concern and consideration for environmental responsibility within their industry;

  • Take action to reduce their company environmental impact;

  • Source and/or produce environmentally preferable products; and

  • Utilize environmentally-prefable processing, production, and/or packaging methods.
